when they send ppl these cards,notepads,calander etc asking for a contribution in return
this qustion isnt for me so answer good. here are some details from the person.
my father is a sucker for these people,he claims they are putting their lives on the line for us ,and so he thinks nothing of sending them a 10 or 15 dollar check everytime they ask for a contribution

Some of them are, and some are not. I would advise doing some research of the people asking for contributions before sending anything.

Some are legit and some spend waaaaay too much of their money for furnd-raising activities and administrative costs.
