I mean how can we trust anyone to protect our interests?

Well this is what happens when you let your government "export" your manufacturing. It's one thing to "help" another nation but to let them laugh all the way to the bank at your expense is plain STUPID.

We should never have let the US talk us into FREE TRADE. That was just another perk for their benefit and a loss to our standards of living.

And FYI I go out of my way NOT to shop at the junk stores but people just see cheap, cheap, cheap and hey, you get what you pay for.

Sorry "everything" is NOT made in China...that's just what YOUR "corporations" sell to you...and now they invaded Canada and try to sell that garbage here.

Well immigrants may flock to second hand clothes stores and garbage from yard sales and stores like Wal-Mart but people who work hard and want quality for their money do NOT buy "everything" from China I can guarantee you that.

And by the way those CRIBS which are killing all those babies? They are sold in the USA...not available in CANADA...because OUR standards are much higher.

Even drugs are "tried" in the USA for years before making it here.

So you should keep those things in mind.

We can't and shouldn't. Buyer beware. I have been screaming for years to boycott China, India, and Mexico.

It's buyer beware and China has now got what it deserves since everything was made in China. At one time I remember gifts that were given for a wedding or shower, that were crafted well and with attention to detail, now I see this shower gifts and baptism gifts all made in China they seem to look so cheap. Where has craftsmanship gone.

I doubt very much you could go a month without buying something made in China. Check your shoes, clothes, appliances and other household items.

People aren't necessarily in there right minds when they decide to by things, and we all need products in order to live our daily lives, regardless of what countries they come from.

Or from Mattel. They have apologized to the Chinese for ruining their reputation. We Americans should tell Mattel goodbye by not buying anything they have their name on.
