Normally my period is two days, very heavy. It's been like that for the last 3 years. Aside from when I've been over-stressed, etc. I've also been on the pill for this long.

Okay. So - I read somewhere that if you didn't take your green placebo pills and started up right away with a new pack of pills you would skip your period. This sounded LOVELY. and I tried it.

My period came anyway. And for the first two days everything seemed normal. I had my normal period. Then it started to end, and there was very little blood and everything was happy. well here I am five days later with a period that's still "ending". It's brownish, and spotting, and there seems to be NOTHING I can do to make it just END.

can anyone help?

Hmm...so this in an unconventional answer...but have an orgasm. Seriously...it makes your flow heavier and it will end quicker. If your not into having intercourse while on your period...do it yourself haha...awkward, but it really will help.

well to tell you the truth, theres really nothing you can do to fully stop your period from coming.
(It sucks to be a girl doesn't it? lol. i feel your pain)
Well it's pretty normal when you have a very light period for a few days. Thats exactly how mine is, heavy the first two days then light for the next 5 or 6 days or so. I've never had my lighter days bleed through my pants even when i'm playing sports so i would suggest just use a pantiliner or a lite days tampon. It should go away in a few days.

Hope this helps! :)

You shouldn't have skipped without consulting your doctor.

This is what happens when you skip those pills. You could end up getting your period anyway. And even if you didn't get your period, it would be worse the next time you got your period. Also you could take months for your cycle to get regulated again.

I did that once, took months to get back on track with my pills. I won't ever do it again.

Call your doctor. Inform him/her what went on and now you have a period that is lasting quite long.

in lots of situations classes are 3-5 days or 5-7 days. you're probably ending after 5 days. even even though it relies upon from women to women. After small bleeding infrequently ever at 13 on your third will you start up heavy bleeding back...

There's really nothing to be done. This is one of the pitfalls of using continuous contraception....breakthrough bleeding. Your body is rebelling against the fact that it didn't have it's "period" week (even though on the pill the period is useless).

You're just going to have to ride it out. It will eventually stop. You probably shouldn't do this again...at least not on this particular formulation (although there's also no guarantee that you could do this on any formulation).

You can't 'skip' your period, you can only delay it. That's how the pill works.

COULD IT HAVE BEEN A SPONTANEOUS ABORTION?
