First of all, calm down. this is a game for most of the people on here responding. They are not the brightest or most learned people by any stretch, hence the level of questions, poor diction and punctuation, etc. Further, race issues have been here since the first white and black people met... you are not responsible for the past, but you do live in its remnants. If you are proud to be an american, be that. If others feel they need an african connector, respect their rights and wishes, as fellow americans, to be that as well.

This subject gauls me.. (Im sure you meant no offense).
I am not afraid to say the work "Black"... or "White".. or mixed... If I know what nationality a person happens to be, I won't be afraid to use it...and I'm glad my friends/fellow military members feel the same.
(My example: A friend and coworker is a black man from the US Virgin Islands; numerous times he's corrected people that he's not "African American"... he reminds them that he is American, his race is Black.... and he's never been to Africa, but always wanted to visit....)
Dr. Shan... You coud simply say "Kill whitey" with less contempt than your "white girl" remark... makes me wonder who in good conscience issue you a doctorate of anything...

Hey, I know of this guy who was born in Kenya and is of east indian descent. He's now a US citizen. He says he is both an african american and an american Indian.

It doesn't matter where you are born. All that matters is what race your parents are. Let's say both your parents are white, but you were born in Africa, that doesn't make you African American, because your parents aren't African. So it doesnt matter where you're born, you are what you are because of your parents.

first of all, if you're not black, then don't call yourself black and when people call you black, remind them that you're brown. i do it, and it starts up a conversation that will prove to me whether they are worth my time or not.
as for the anglo person from south african, he is called african. if he gets citizen ship, he is considered african-american. but when he fills out the ethinicity box, he must check off "white non-hispanic"

No offense, you really need to learn how to type. I am confused about what your question is. What grade are you in? I would answer this question if it was more clear.
