If the machine ain't broke, don't fix it. Baseball works fine just the way it is. Changing the pitching mound distance would do nothing but add asterisks to all the record books.
Some of the magnitudes of the scores are outrageous as it is, e.g., 18 to 6, etc, Let's not talk about making it worse.

Baseball does't want to live to see batters do everything. Pitchers are exciting to watch as well, and if the mound is moved back, then pitchers will go extinct. There will only be throwers.
Also, the pitchers mound would be way too close to second base.

I am a baseball purist, I'll admit that. But I think there's enough scoring as there is. Sometimes it really borders on making a mockery of the game. And the overall level of pitching is bad enough without increasing the level of difficulty. I say leave it be.

Instead of changing the game that drastically, perhaps it would be better for the "fans" to learn the game well enough to appreciate a 3-2 game. Thanks to Sportscenter and Baseball Tonight, most of the fans out there only appreciate diving catches and home runs. Instead, I think it is up to the fans to educate themselves about the game so that they can appreciate a well played game regardless of the score. I'll take a well played 2-1 game over a horribly played 12-10 game any day.

I'd have to say no because it would be to difficult for pitchers who can barely pitch where it is now And if they did move it back the aluminum bat's wouldn't work, to many injuries.
