No, I think that would destroy us more certainly than any bomb or plane ever could.

America was based on the concept of freedom of conscience - of an acceptance of different faiths and different cultures. It is the constant influx of new ideas and new ideals which has kept our culture vital and given it the necessary flexibility to adapt to change.

The Bill of Rights is the core of what it is to be an American, and there is a REASON why the First Amendment guarantees the right to freedom of religion - because the Founding Fathers had seen what happens when the government decides to dictate peoples' beliefs.

Besides, what are we going to do, kick out law-abiding, native-born Americans just because their hearts call them to follow a religion that people find scary nowadays? Are we going to exile our sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, because they call their god Allah instead of Jehovah?

Something that people keep forgetting is that the Oklahoma City bombing - until 9/11 the deadliest terrorist attack on US soil - was NOT committed by some brownskinned jihadist with a Middle Eastern accent. It was committed by a white American Christian who didn't like the government and decided to express his displeasure by slaughtering innocents.

Islam doesn't have a monopoly on fanatics.

Of COURSE not. Then the terrorists would just pay off disaffected blond haired & blue eyed types- to do their dirty work for them. NOBODY ANYWHERE- is ever entirely "safe". And we just need to accept THAT Reality- as such. People are people, whatever their faith or culture. And when we start to alleviate some of the chronic problems that afflict many of the peoples around the World, only THEN will the World become a "safer" place...

The Western Media has caused the west to believe in their point of view, and only giving one side of the story blinds the people viewing: that is almost everybody. It has made its "victims" extremely ignorant, and I am truly proud of those who see through its schemes. The Media has forced its viewers to believe that Islam is a violent, bloody, intolerant religion, but in reality this is actually the opposite. If people would stop accepting their television sets as their teachers, more people would know the actual truth about Islam. The Media reports misleading stories, gross exaggerations, inaccurate information, and false statements about Islam and Muslims to undermine the religion, and unfortunately, this propaganda is a success--many, MANY Americans believe everything they hear on the news or read in the newspaper. What they fail to realize is that what they read/hear is only one point of view of a bias Media that has been criticizing Muslims with false information vigorously since 9/11.

Terrorism is CONDEMNED in Islam; it is not allowed, period. Neither is innocent murder, suicide of any kind, forced marriages or forced conversions. These are all misleading fabrications composed by the Media. You can't always believe what you hear.

Terrorists are not true Muslims; they use Islam as a mask to cover up their dirty work, and give Islam a bad name. Most of them are only Muslim by name, yet are still accused of acting upon Islamic teachings, when in actuality, they are not. It is not fair for the majority of Muslims, who oppose terrorism and denounce violence that is occurring. Unfortunately, the Media will never let this be known, making it look like Muslims support these radical actions, when in reality they absolutely do not.

Not really, I am a catholic and I have friends that are Muslim. After asking a lot of questions I have come to this conclusion. The Muslims that are terrorists are the equivalent to the IRA in Great Britain. Just because some one is Muslim does not mean that they are a terrorist or even hate Americans just like just because i am catholic doesn't mean that i am IRA.

yes , we would be much safer if we kicked out all of the Muslims, I spent over 20 years in the Marine Corps and most of that time was in he middle east, I don't believe our forefathers who wrote our constitution had the slightest idea that we would be ever be facing the problems with the Muslim community that we have experienced today, Muslims and Christan's don't mix it is like water and oil, but, I don't think they would hate us nearly as bad had we not supported Israel unconditionally to kill and maim them the way we have,
I have heard more condemnation of America not only in the middle east but thru out my tour in Asia, and also Europe, of our unconditional support of Israel and providing them with cluster bombs to bomb residential neighborhoods with, people are really disgusted with America and ask why we have such a one sided policy, America is supposedly a fair and believes in equality nation, now people are thinking differently, and they ask why?

No, all Muslims should not be forced to leave. There are many, many people of the Muslim faith who are honest and law-abiding Americans. Like with any other group, the criminals must be pursued and arrested, but Muslims should not be treated any different than anyone else. To do so would be un-American.
