i think it is only foolish to be fooled by that line
Edit: I mean I think it is foolish to believe that line is true 100% of the time.

Love is an emotion, and by definition emotions are irrational. This doesn't mean however that an emotion is stupid, senseless or worthless. Far from it! A life lived only through logic would be the life of a machine. And wise people fall in love, too. The song is just a song.

love may not always take the most logical path but it has a method to its madness. lovers are not fools, but love can make one foolish. a person is not foolish for answering a primitive want to be with one that the care for, we are pack animals and need companionship. it often proved logical when instincts were forged. our simpler ancestor was often protected by there mate. way back when before the ridiculous male superiority started it went both ways.

No, it must have meant he was on the rebound from a broken relationship. A person can feel like a fool sometimes after the relationship is over!
