I may be assuming here on the roughage aspect but why else would anyone sit on the toilet to read when there's a nice Queen Anne chair in the den or a comfy bed with a little reading light? I mean, i don't go to the library, take my pants down and sit on a chair with the seat cut out of it to read Vanity Fair.

so true! good question!

My thought is always that the seat is not comfortable enough to sit there and read and so I get my business done and leave. If you are having difficulty and you have time to read then you either aren't trying hard enough to get through the task or you need to just come back later.

For some people it's the only time they get a chance for a little light reading. And besides, eating roughage whilst sitting on the shitter is disgusting. (har har)

Reading in the bathroom is one of those low class American habits that spills from one generation to the next.

Quite often, toilet readers don't read anything worthy outside of the john. I say, take your crap and get off so that someone else can use it!

If you want to read, here's the Bible!

Dump it. Dont listen to the woman above who re-refrigerates her childs milk cup throughout the day. The enzymes in milk break down when they're warmed...and if your constantly warming and chilling the cup, the milk begins to break down which could cause your child to get sick Its best to be safer than sorry. Remember- you can always give them more milk - but if you give them TOO much you may end up being wasteful.. so keep the portions small and dump any left-overs
