The reason young babies can't have egg whites or whole milk is to minimize the chance of allergic reactions. If you have a family history of similar food allergies I would avoid anything containing these ingredients, otherwise I would think it would be okay to give her foods containing these ingredients...just keep a close eye on her to make sure there is no allergic reactions.

I would pick around the hamburger meat unless she is able to chew well (don't know how many teeth she has!), but the mac and cheese should be fine if she's been eating solids. I'm guessing you didn't mean as her first solid! My son started pureed foods at 4 months and was eating things like mac and cheese by 6 1/2 months. It really depends on the baby, teeth, how well they swish their tongue, etc.
If you don't have a family history of allergies, it's doubtful your daughter will either. They say it's okay to give babies under 1 other dairy products, such as cheese, yogurt, and cottage cheese - just not milk itself. The problem with egg whites isn't so much allergic reaction, but rather the fact that the white is more likely to contain bacteria like salmonella or e.coli.
You should also make sure to wash utensils and surfaces well to avoid contaminating them with bacteria from the raw hamburger meat (or any meat in that case).

I have given my 9mo old egg whites and yobaby yogurt. I think as long as you don't have a family history of allergic reactions to certain foods, you daughter should be fine. Try only giving her a little the first time to see how she digests it first. I also gave my son macaroni and cheese...

Its best to avoid those foods even if they are cooked. The first respondent was not quite right - cheese is special since bacteria have broken down the proteins in milk and recycled them into their own cells.
Your daughter could have that food if there is no milk or eggs in it. Egg yolks would be okay since they lack the proteins that are most allergenic - they're in the whites.
Trust me, you don't want an allergic kid. Most folks won't have a problem but still - we carry EpiPens since both our boys could die from anaphylactic shock upon exposure to their allergens.

The processing of those, cooking, etc, change the digestive properties. So for example, babies under a year can have cows milk yogurt. Theres more technical terms for this stuff, but I forget it. Breaking down the proteins and all, and allergens.

Some do and some don't. I personally wouldn't. I also wouldn't give the hamburger meat. Try to wait closer to one year old before giving these table foods

i was never sure why babys couldnt have whole milk till they were one but at 7 1/2 months I did give them little pieces from what i ate just so they can taste it as for milk i started giving them about 2 ounce of it so they could get use to it I had let their pediatrician know and he said it was fine.

all babys are different. for instance my daughter was on whole milk and table food at 5 months. her dad has an allergy to milk but it didn't seem to bother her. she's now 3 and very healthy. use your intuition. and remember the saying "MOTHER KNOWS BEST!"

Doctors recommend u not do that but it really up to u if ur family doesnt have a history of food allergies I wouldnt worry about it.
