Really? All I ever hear about is young people making promises to stay virgins. Personally, I think that is one of the worst possible things you can do. Sex is a huge part of marriage, so you'd better make sure you know each other sex drives, sexual needs, and make sure you are compatible before taking those vows.

I wouldn't go so far as to call it an obsession, but I know what you mean: it seems like society has popularized losing virginity before marriage.
Like what the first person said, it's the media. The media promotes sex everywhere because it sells; it has had a very negative effect on the pulic's opinion of sex, making it decadent.

I wouldnt say ppl are obsessed with it... wait actually you know what. Scratch that cause with what I've seen in society and the kids today they really are. Its sad. I just think its what society teaches them though. Its all out there now SEX SEX SEX. I'm happy I had an amazing mother who taught me to have morals and hold myself on a higher platter when it comes to that kind of stuff. I think thats another thing that goes wrong and draws these kids to sex, drugs, and all that stuff. Little to none parental guidance. My mother was ALWAYS involved in things with me growing up as a kid and she always acted like a lady and an appropriate figure to look up to.

First of all, because they can. Second of all, because most people like to follow the herd. Third, physical necessity. But most importantly, everyone has their own reason. No one is right and no one is wrong. It's what's right for you.

I don't think it has anything to do with before marriage. I just think it's because they feel it is the right time.

today's media tried to make teens think that sex is something everyone is doing.. they're interested.. they like it... they're going to do it.. ya know.
some ppl are still saving themselves... so i hear...
