This is a 4th graders question that will miss recess if it is not turned in correctly.

Arrange them in a star. More specifically, draw a 5 pointed star. It will gave 10 vertices (5 points and 5 inner vertices). Put candles on all 10 of these and then each of the five lines in the star will have 4 candles on it.

That is a pretty tough question for a 4th grader.

The answer is to place them in the shape of a 5-point star, with one at each point, and one at the vertex of each line. Five rows with four candles each, but each candle is counted in two different rows!

Break the 10 candles in half = 20

5 rows * 4 candles = 20 candles.

YES!!!! Now they can go to recess!!!!!

Can you melt the candles down and just create new 20 candles?
