I am not illegal & work for a small business, & no, not a poor small business! They have 4 or 4 houses, including one they rent at the shore, & 3 or 4 they rent out & are redoing their own house, they take several cruises & trips to Europe with the whole family going. There are 3 people working & all could use health care! But, they won't, because it will break into their profits. Everythng now is ME, ME, ME!

Hmmm, a while back it was 27 million, then 30 million, 47 million the other day. Now it is appearantly 50 million. Why is this number going up? I have a feeling people are not being 100% truthful in this health care thing. Now what about the 20 year old crowd who think they do not need health insurance, or the rich who can afford to go with out it? How do those people fit into the figures? There are also many plans out there and many affordable. Why are these people not providing for themselves?

Why should I have any feelings about something that's not true? All Americans have access to health CARE - no hospital can turn them away. It's health INSURANCE that they're without. That's about PAYMENT, not CARE. Such imprecision is indicative of either illogical thinking or deliberate dissembling.
Anyway, there's certainly nothing about them not having health INSURANCE that would make anybody "happy", so that is clearly a very odd thought to have in the first place. There is also little about it to make anybody "sad". It is unfortunate.
But you need to realize that much of the unaffordability of health insurance is due to government intrusion in the first place. State government often dictates the minimum coverages of medical insurance. And interest groups have gotten many things added that add much cost, but that many folk don't use.
Are you going to insist we only use "feelings" regarding health care? Or are you willing to use facts, logic and Constitutional law to discuss it?

A nation of Capitalism!!!!! You pay for your own health care. Why should I have to contribute to your health care or anyone else. You have the same opportunities as everyone else in this nation. Everything the government becomes involved in that should be in the private sector ends up in shambles.
I am sooooooooooo sick of people looking to the government to take care of them. Give yourself some credit, go achieve your goals and dreams, feel good because you've earned what you have.
Do you realize that America's "poor" still live a better life than other countries. They are not starving, most have TVs, DVD players, cell phones. Not my idea of being poor, and certainly have the resources to pay for health insurance. If you can afford the luxuries, you can find the money to pay for a health insurance plan. Sacrifice if you need to.

Wrong, everybody in the US has Healthcare. You won't get turned away from a hospital if you are in need.
With that being said, there are 40+ million in the US without health insurance. That's a big difference.
What I never see is the statistic that out of that 40+ million, how many of them are not purchasing it. When you are 25 and making $50K a year, where are you going to spend your money? On health insurance or on a $600 month lease for a BMW?

I presume that you know that your question is stunningly in error. 50 million americans do not have health INSURANCE. Nearly all of them have received health care and have either been offered lower than charge rates or given the care for free.
Please be a little more accurate in your rant.
Note that in Massachusetts where there is a universal access insurance product, the problem has been that people still would rather take the bet that they will be well rather than spend the money. Talk to an actuary to understand how much a 30 year old should spend versus a 50 year old, etc. If these products were appropriately rated we would see vastly different behavior.

I'm a conservative and I have no healthcare coverage. I don't want any health care coverage.
Ten years ago I was diagnosed with cancer. Through that experience I learned what causes cancer, heart disease, diabetes and a host of other common ailments and diseases.
I don't want to have anything to do with doctors because most doctors don't care about health care. They practice medicine and there is a distinction.
They only get paid when you go to see them so they don't cure disease. They treat them.
Even with doctors, health care used to be affordable. Until a middleman stepped in and started meddling with the doctor/patient relationship.
If you want to reduce health care costs you have to get rid of the middleman. Health insurance companies and HMO's are the root cause of skyrocketing healthcare prices.
Anyone who fails to see that clearly needs vision coverage so they can get their eyes corrected.

They deny the numbers like they deny reality when it doesn't support their views(see the Iraq disaster).
They think those people are too lazy to work. They aren't happy but the regressive right has succeeded in making their poor life's feel better because they have people to look down on
On health care, poverty prevention and aid the United States of America isn't civilized at all.And it only works because people believe the American dream.Anyone can make it if they only work hard so anyone who doesn't make it must be lazy or choose to be poor or without a job.You have to be asleep to believe it.But the dream keeps people going while most aren't the profiteers themselves and have to slave through life too.But looking down on others, denying the horror makes it more bearable and is an essential part of the dream.

All Americans have health care. 40+ million have no insurance, but that does not mean they don't get treatment.
Nobody is "happy" about it. However, there are better solutions than enslaving 300 million Americans in a government monopoly to help 40 million. Government is not the answer. Monopolies are not the answer. Slavery is not the answer.
Freedom, open markets, and competition are the answer. Help your fellow man because you WANT to, not because the government puts a gun to your head and FORCES you to.
