I think Jesse Jackson sand Al Sharpton should be taken out. Just my opinion. They instigate these messes and no one seems to care. If the Reverend Billy Graham (I realize he is dead, just an example) started speaking out about white power and encouraging everyone to stand up against the black race for the MILLIONS of crimes they commit every day, there would be a revolt.
People need to get over slavery and the civil rights movement. Everyone walks on eggshells for fear of offending a black person.
Sorry, but you can't have equal rights and special treatment at the same time.

How can you move forward when you live in the past. The people protesting need to get a grip and start looking to the future instead of turning this into a 3 ring circus like it has. I think Sharpton and Jackson are hurting this situation instead of helping it. Let me express my honest feelings, Some blacks are never going to feel like they have equal rights, some whites are never going to feel that the blacks are deserving of equal rights. The mayhem in Jena sure isn't going to make things better! Who knows if it will ever get to the point where everyone is happy, I doubt it will because we will always have extremists on both side of the line and those people will never agree with the others point, you can't force them to believe what you believe and vice versa. Of course this is my opinion and not everyone is going to agree with it. Everyone of every race is entitled to their own opinion and that's what makes America great. Look at that, we all have equal rights to express how we feel. Hmmmmmmm...... food for thought.

Yes it brought much needed public attention to the case. And there is plenty of money going towards the defense fund of the Jena 6. David Bowie just donated $10,000 to their defense fund. The point that was made was, that justice should be equal and after all the media attention so many more people have supported the Jena 6 cause. They've set up websites to keep people informed about the case and future marches. Go on facebook and myspace and look and the hundreds of pro Jena 6 pages.

if the roles were reversed would jesse jackson,or al sharpton be protesting? the answer is NO . they like to make it out to be one incident, but this kid wasn't involved in the noose incident. this is a case of 6 kids beating another, race should not factor into it,if it did they would be charged with hate crimes and face alot stronger sentences

Heres the deal. The white kids should have been charged with battery same as the black kids, but whats his name in jail has a prior history for assault so he should get a harsher sentence. Thats what should have happened with out all the up roar

the issue with Jena 6 is that outdoors human beings and media misrepresented it as a race issue. it particularly is a school risk-free practices issue. I paintings at a undesirable, rural severe college the place if pupils get into actual altercations, we've them arrested and document costs against them regardless of their race. it particularly is because of the fact in contemporary times, childrens (boys particularly) think of no longer something of thrashing the snot out of somebody and merely getting a slap on the wrist. sure, the noose incident grew to become into stupid and insensitive and grew to become into dealt with the main efficient outcomes the faculty had attainable. Beating a pupil subconscious by utilising 6 pupils is risky and existence threatening. We had a baby die some years in the past from a single freak blow by utilising one pupil on yet another. the two teenagers have been black, so no one made a race issue of it. we won't shop minimizing college violence by utilising utilising race as a pink herring.

Of course it was about racism and I do agree with you. I think he should've been free a long time ago and given probation and everybody move on from there. But of course, those WHITE ppl don't want that to happen bc they're ignorant and still have the mentality of the mid 19th century

Well, until the whites stop using a frickin tree for the "whites" leisure time then the ignorance will continue to spread like wild fire. They are teaching these kids to hate and until that stops backward or forward, this world is screwed.
