I've never uderstood it. I grew up in the 40's in Philadelphia. There were German,Irish,Polish and Italian neighborhoods. I'm Irish,but I lived in a German area. Believe it or not,I was never allowed to associate with my classmates. I became friends with the Jewish people who lived across the boulevard. They had no trouble taking me into their homes and inviting me to sing in their synagogues. I was Catholic,but they didnt draw a line. I can honestly say,I have never met a Jewish person I didnt like. My ex-husband hated the Jews because that's what he was told as a child. Is it any wonder he's my ex?

i think that some brits and some europeans don't like jews they lop them together with isreal and because they feel that it's a tiny country created in the middle east in 1961 that is backed by the US, a clumsy giant in any and everything they want to do. and this agitates very dangerous people who will blow us up as well as themselves in the process.
before i left the US i hadn't heard a word breathed against jews and when i got to europe i was astonished at all of what people had to say.

I can't understand hating anyone enough to include thier enitre religous family from all over the world. What could they have done to anyone that would make someone hate them and everyone who shares the same religious belief?
We shouldn't be so quick to use the word hate. why do we have to "hate" someone? Can't we just roll our eyes at the sound of their name and be done with it?
If one person is cheap, or lazy, or a woos, or has bad breath or doesn't wash their hands after peeing....then avoid them!
Is it really necessary to HATE them and then drag in all of Israel too?

A lot of people have issues with Israeli's occupying someone elses country and pretty treating them like second class citizens, and taking a gigantic metaphorical dump all over their rights.

i agree w/ king james. i don't hate jews, but i don't agree the israel thing it is just wrong, and the israeli soliders are sick people. but i have met some nice jews, but they were not israeli. i guess i just don't like israelis, but not all jews. i tend to give everyone a chance, unless they piss me off

It's simple, in a way, and yet very complex.
1. If you have low self-esteem, for whatever reason, you almost always try to find someone else to blame to make yourself feel better.
2. If you're ignorant, then you fear the other.
3. If you suffer from delusions of persecution or paranoia, for whatever reason, you blame someone else to justify your feelings.
I see two answers right above me that fit one or more of these criteria.

They terrorised the Palestinians and took their land and thousands of Palestinians are suffering and died because of Racist Jews, thats why NO ONE LIKES THEM MATE!!!!!!!!!!!

It isn't racist to not like Jews. It's anti-Semitic. And it's mostly because Israel stole land from the Palestinians, & they are treating the Arabs unfairly.
