Leather is generally sold by the hide or half hide. You can Can sometime find remnants applicable for projects, but it really depends on what you are looking to do. Certain grades of leather ( and "finishing" methods) work great for one type of project, but are utterly wrong for another ( like dont put full aniline leather in a car or your dining room chairs etc)
If I had more info I might be able to guide you better, but for one thing, Ebay is selling more and more leather, some deals on hides are astounding,; I have talked with the owners of a couple of larger companies that put up items on ebay and they state it is normally because they only have one or two hides like that left, so some items are real steals.

You can't really buy a roll...if you want quantity, you need to buy a hide. Just do a search on leather hide.
