I hadnt heard Jesse Jackson's name mentioned, but I saw Al Sharpton speaking to a crowd. It seems that there was a tree that was meant only for whites. Black people tried to sit there and some idiot hanged 3 nooses on the tree. Nothing was done about it. Then 6 black kids beat up 1 white boy. They were charged as adults, even though they were juveniles. That's all Al Sharpton had to hear. He can spot a photo op a mile away. The boys are being set free and I ask you-did all of the demonstrations help anyone?

It's my understanding that this started a year ago. In this school yard, there is one tree and a group of white students hang out there.
Last year, an African American freshman boy asked the school principal if he could sit under the tree. (It's the only shade and it was hot outside.) Naturally, the principal told the boy he could sit under the tree.
The boy sat under the tree and the next morning the white students had hung three nooses from the branches. (Remember, this is the deep South.)
The responsible white boys were expelled from school. After a protest by their parents, the ruling was changed to several days suspension and the boys went back to classes.
There was some verbal and physical altercations back and forth between groups. At one point, the six African American boys did beat one white student. Honestly, I don't know how badly he was hurt.
The African American boys were arrested and charged with attempted murder and tried as adults. (All are minors.)
The white students bad behavior was treated as a schoolboy prank. The African American students bad behavior, while worse, was treated as a full blown, adult, pre-meditated felony.
THAT'S what the groups are protesting, the inequitable application of punishment.
Obviously what happened is that the administration, teachers, and the parents lost control of what was happening in the school and now the students are paying the price.

There was a tree at a high school where black students were 'not allowed ' to sit under. one day some black students decided to sit under the tree. . .the next day there were noose's hanging from the tree (an old kkk practice) the black students 'caught' and beat up one of the racist white kids that hung the nooses.
NOW the part for the march: IT is about the Injustice in the TOWN of The black kids were tried as adults, even though they were under 18, by a much older ALL WHITE jury. . .they have been in jail for MONTHS, with a much higher bail then deserved...they were tried for "ATTEMPTED MURDER' when the charge should have only been for "Assault" a couple of the verdicts had to be overturned by higher courts because they were such a GROSS INJUSTICE to these kids....and the white kids did not receive any punishment., . .not even suspension from school for the 'HATE CRIME" of hanging a noose on public/state property.
Now all of the ignorant Caucasians are coming out of their trailer parks with these ropes hanging from their pickup trucks. The sad thing is. .. .THIS HAPPENS EVERY DAY IN THE 'STATES' TO BROWN AMERICANS. . .. Its hard for black people to keep up with all of the 'wrongs' that are tossed their way on a daily basis.
Injustice ANYWHERE is an Injustice EVERYWHERE for EVERYONE..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
These "Noose Hangers" feel the same way about: gays, lesbians, jewish, all hispanic, rich white people, arabs, asians, and anyone else that does not look like them.

So...enough about the Jena 6...do you even remember that a black woman was kidnapped by 6 white people? Probably not. And no the "protestors" do not want the black kids to get off scot free, they just want some punishment for the white kids. And yeah, I know you obviously don't know the entire story (that's pretty obvious)

According to Jena 6 supporters, this sort of silly high school thing goes on every day in schools. Six kids beat another kid into unconsciousness and then keep beating him until being forced to stopped... yep, that's just typical high school behavior.

I HAVE NO IDEA! I read about this jena 6 on wikipedia, and the kid who was beaten by the 6 criminals had nothing to do with the noose prank.
and the charges were dropped to battery. I guess they are still upset over a BS story of a black kid being beaten with bottles. if you read on wikipedia, it will tell you about the "bottle" incident.
HEY, DENISE, DO YOU REMEMBER THAT TWO WHITE PEOPLE, NAMED CHANNON AND CHRIS, WERE KILLED BECAUSE OF COUPLE OF BLACK GUYS?
--------------------------------------
BTW........THAT "WHITE" TREE WAS NOT FOR WHITES. BOTH GROUPS HAD THEIR OWN SECTION TO SIT AND HANG OUT. IT JUST HAPPENED THAT ONE BLACK, KNUCKLEHEAD THOUGHT IT BE FUNNY TO GO SIT WHERE THE WHITE KIDS SAT. He did it to spite and piss white students off. which it did.

They are being charged excessively. These are children that have been subjected to that **** hole they call Jena and all it's racial BS that has been going on long before the nooses in the tree incident. They should all be ashamed.

For justice. No juvenile should be charged as an adult. And for the world to know that the town discriminates. If you have every been discriminated against you would understand.
Maybe your life is all peachy keen. If so NICE LIFE!!

Why is it that the "race card" is always played as the "trump card" when things happen when it comes to all of us? I am so sick of it already. I'm wasn't raised to be racist, thanks to my parents who taught me that we were all created equal. I still feel that way.
