Getting into an Ivy is extremely competitive. Average grades and no honors courses will hurt your chances. You'd better do something exceptional at the extracurricular level, and even then, you face stiff competition with students who are brilliant academically and excel in sports, the arts, or stuff like charity/volunteer work. Set your sights lower, there are lots of good state schools out there.

Money. money, or money. It always helps and never hurts. Why an Ivy league school? do you really like being around people like that? Hell even the people who go to Ivy league schools cant stand to be around each other.

trying being above average....its not hard...a's and b's are easy to get ....you can't get into an ivy league on being average unless you are amazing at sports.

Sorry, but this is impossible. I read somewhere that 83% of high school valedictorians that apply to Yale don't get in.
Try to research some state schools!
