Yes, agreed. Though we can plan for the future, you cannot foresee every problem that will come along. The saying means taking things one step at a time and paying close attention to what you are doing and the future takes care of itself. You can only solve or handle one task at a time, and do it well. When you try to live in the future, on what might happen, you often tend to miss the obvious right in front of your face.

Every second we're faced with a "problem" or decision that has to be made. Do I walk this way or that way? Do I say this or that? etc... So, it's similar to the saying "take one day at a time", where both sayings mean keep life simple.

Ah Homework.....

Sort of like the statement "When you're up to your ears in aligators it's hard to remember you came to drain the swamp."

Work on your own life, those problems within your grasp and those made for you. Trying to fix those problems out of reach or problems for other people will not work well.
