Seems likely. Can you boot up on safe mode?

it is possible. it's also possible that the monitor is faulty - perhaps you can unplug the monitor from the pc (not from the power!) and turn it on...some models will display a "no signal" message or similar which gives you some confidence the monitor is still working. of course the best way to test the monitor is to plug it into another PC!

if you perform these tests and they show the monitor is or appears to be working, then the next thing to observe is, when you pull the power cord out of your PC, and plug it back in again (then power the PC on if it doesnt re-start automatically) do you hear a BEEP?

this beep that computers make when they're first powered up exists specificially to let you know that your computer has started up correctly. if you hear no beep after a few seconds, this suggests the fault is NOT your graphics card but probably either your processor chip (like the pentium chip or whatever you have) or the MEMORY (quite likely) or the motherboard (the main circuit board in the computer)

whether you get that beep or not, id start by taking your memory chips out (with the computer powered off) and putting them back in again...dont touch the bottom edge of the memory..do this a couple of times...it scrapes clean the bits of metal which connect to each other...and then power back on again.

if that doesnt work, try taking your processor out and putting it back in again.. do it very carefully as it's a very hi tech expensive sensitive bit of equipment

Did you change any display settings recently? If so you might have chosen a setting that is incompatible with the monitor. You can change this in safe mode. If it doesn't work in safe mode then there is another problem somewhere. Have you already checked to make sure the video cable is still plugged into your computer securely?

It is possible. But check to make sure your card is all the way pluged in. Also, if it has needs supplemental power directly from the power supply, make sure that is plugged in as well.
