Neither, it was a stunt pulled many years ago by a man in Scotland who tried to trick someone and then filmed it later.

The son of the inventor was interviewed and by the time it was discovered to be a hoax, he had passed away.

I would say male because the pictures I have seen do not show any breast. The other reason I think its male is because a female who have ended up pregnant by something other than another nessie maybe like a crocodile or a big snake. I mean even if you are a prehistoric creature how long can you hold out without sex certainly not 100 years or more between one night stands. This goes for both males and females. Then again again maybe its like a worm and is asexual. I don't know I'm not an authority on nessie even though I am scots irish and know the story
Good Luck

For there to be a viable breeding population, there must be at least a dozen or so "monsters" in the loch (both male and female). Other than the eyewitness accounts, there have been occasional sonar readings of something large moving beneath the surface of the water so it is possible that the Loch Ness Monster may actually exist.

I place the finding out of whether Nessie is male or female right up there with trying to find the gender of a wolverine or a Tasmanian devil. It would probably be an inspection where only the inspector or the inspectee would remain amongst the living.

Consistent reported sightings throughout the centuries suggests so.
The most common description given is that of a plesiosaur and thats irrespective of where one of these creatures have been spotted, including Japan,Ireland,Canada,America among many other places;can't all be hoaxes can they?
