Basically they are this family who's child "went missing" on holiday. They either killed her or (their story) they left her and her siblings (all under 4) alone in an unlocked room on holiday, went down the street to drink and chat with friends.
They went back to check on them and one of the children had "disappeared" or as they decided to conclude - was abducted by a pedophile.
So they decided to tour europe without the kids that didn't disappear and then somehow got to meet the Pope.
Then finally after about 4 months the authorities stopped kissing their *** and thought hey, they might be suspects!
So the Mcanns fled home and continue to protest their innocence.
In the early days they set up some thing for people to donate money for them for some reason and got over $2 million from the general public (the ones who are suckers anyway) AND a couple of million from celebrities trying to get publicity...
latest news is that the child's blood was found in a car they rented about a month after she disappeared....

The McCann's are the British couple who, while on vacation in Portugal, lost their 4 year old daughter, Madeleine/Maddie. The case has taken a lot of twists....I'd recommend you take a look at the www.findmaddie.com, or something like that..you can search the mccanns at yahoo!search.

They are the parents of Madelaine McCann who went missing in may while the family was on holiday in Portugal. They still havent found Madelaine

The McCann's are English doctors who were vacationing in Portugal and were out to dinner and left their children, a 4 year old and 2 year old twins, in their hotel room while they went out to dinner and their 4 year old daughter went missing, and is still missing.

I have no idea. I know of the McCoy's. also there are some french fries in frozen food at the grocery store made by McCain's. sorry. oh I see some other answers they must be referring to the parents in another country whose little girl disappeared while they were out dining. they left her alone in the hotel room and are being considered as suspects
