As a Goalie I get hit in the head all the time. Good thing I am wearing a Goalie mask. LOL
But seriously I know one child who got killed from a hockey puck that went into the stands behind the Goal. Ever since then NHL put up that netting. A full force hockey puck even by some amateurs will probably kill you if you get hit in the right place without protection. I wear a full body armor, pants, etc. (NHL rated) and I still come home bruised here and there.
If you see stars then you probably will live but you will have frequent spasms for many months sometimes years.

depending on where you got hit in the head you would see stars. you really dont want to find`out so keep your eye on the puck as`long as`the play is still going on.

Depends. If it got you just right, you wouldn't see anything at all. You'd be unconscious, if not dead. Otherwise, you might just see the ceiling or blood or the laughing faces of those around you.
