I want to keep a lobster for a few weeks until I eat it. What living conditions do they need and I know they need salt water. Where do I get salt water for my lobster and what do I feed him?

Keeping a lobster alive is probably a more expensive proposition than you imagined. The water is the easy part. Many pet stores sell a product called "Instant Ocean", which when dissolved in dechlorinated water makes an acceptable sea water. Since lobsters scavenge food, feeding them isn't a big problem over the short term. If you periodically give them some fresh fish (or lobster!), they should be OK for a while. Make sure you remove what they don't eat. The biggest problem is that the lobster will require cold water to survive for long. This means you need a sea water aquarium with a filtration & cooling system. These are big bucks for only a few weeks of bonding with your lobster.

This is true! I actually had one which i took to the pub with me and after a few pints i sold him or her for 9 quid. I've had to live with what became of it but one thing I do know is they don't like pork scratchings or cider. Hope that helps.
