i just bought a male betta..and he's already making his lil bubbles at the top...and i know that he'll just make new ones when i change the water..but how often should i change it?

it depends on the bowl -- if its a good size (2 1/2 gallons) change it once a week. if its tiny every other day. the bigger the bowl the happier the fish and the less you have to change the water.

All of the water every 3 to 5 days. Use spring water.

if you have at least a 2.5 gallon tank with heater, filter and live plant, then once a week 25% with a small gravel siphon

But if you have him in a bowl (which i hope you don't) then you need to do 50% every 2 days

I would say every 2 weeks, depending on how much you feed him. make sure you save about 1/4 of the old water.

whenever you see that the water has lost it's clarity.. leave it for a day then change it
