Probably a hoax/phishing attempt. Log on to your yahoo account the normal way - NOT through a link in that email and NOT by replying to that email.

HOAX...
ANY time you receive a warning like that, navigate with a new window to the site in question and log-in to report it!
Note: in the case of an eBay e-mail, if it does not have your actual screen name in the body of the message it is fake!

yes, yahoo does not close inactive accounts. furthermore, no mail server makes you verify your password to keep an account from closing. SCAM
