hi my best friend nicole just started shaving her legs. she's 9 years old. almost 10. wayy to young to be shaving right?!i started when i was almost 12. she just got into 5th grade. her legs were like a gorilla.. but forget that fact. i just wanna know if she's TOO young. and dont say EVERYONES DIFFERENT cuz i know!!! lol please help?

Age really isn't the important factor in when a girl should start shaving her legs, her self-esteem is. If her legs are very hairy, as you seem to describe them, then she was probably very self conscious about them. It makes her feel better about herself to shave. I started when I was 10, my parents gave me an electric razor for Christmas that year.

well my daughter is 10yr old and has very hairy legs, it's not that she is an early developer though , just the opposite she lacks normal female hormones due to a medical condition. but another side of the condition is being a bit more hairy. she was not happy about the hairs on her legs so i helped her shave them, she has poor motor skills so can't do it herself.. We used a lady shaver as i feel she's too young for a proper razor blade.
If she has hairy legs then age has nothing to do with it

I dont understand the whole too young to shave thing. Just whenever your legs get hairy shave them, its not that big of a deal.

If she NEEDS to shave (the hair is noticeable), then she is NOT too young.
With girls maturing earlier and earlier with each generation, some girls need to shave sooner.
I would have started at 9 or 10 if I had needed to also.

Age really plays no part. She's probably going through puberty quicker than most people. If they're hairy, shave 'em!!!

She's not too young. If her leg hair was noticable, then she was not too young.
