Who is the greatest player per team?

Who are your thoughts on the greatest player per team? That means games played in that team's uniform. ie. Gretzky would not be considered the greatest St. Louis Blue.

Here's my votes, honourable mentions in brackets for the Eastern Conference.

Atlantic
Devils - Brodeur (Stevens, Niedermayer, MacLean)
Islanders - Bossy (Trottier, Potvin)
Rangers - Rod Gilbert (Leetch, Ratelle, Messier)
Flyers - Clarke (Parent, Leach, Recchi)
Penguins - Mario (Jagr)

Northeast
Bruins - Orr (Bourque, Esposito)
Sabres - Perreault (LaFontaine, Housley)
Canadiens - this list is too long, but I'll start with Richard (Lafleur, Beliveau, Plante, Roy, etc etc)
Senators - Alfredsson
Leafs - Sittler (Sundin, Keon, Gilmour)

Southeast
Thrashers - Kovalchuk
Hurricanes/Whalers - Ron Francis (Mike Liut)
Panthers - Olli Jokinen (Bure)
Lightning - Lecavalier (St. Louis, Richards)
Capitals - Gartner (Bondra, Stevens)

Atlanta Thrashers - Dany Heatley
- Heatley was a better player than Kovalchuk, and his trade partner (Marian Hossa) is a better player than Kovalchuk and will one day take his mantle.

Boston Bruins - Bobby Orr
- a lot of great players have been Bruins, but Orr was the Bruin who left the biggest impact on the game

Buffalo Sabres - Gilbert Perreault
- People may argue that Mogilny and Lafontaine were better players, and I can even buy that argument, but Perreault will always be the 'greatest' in the eyes of Buffalo fans

Carolina Hurricanes - Ron Francis
- The best and the greatest in Hartford/Carolina history

Florida Panthers - Pavel Bure
- Again, he was only there for a short time but he set records for goals and points that will stand a long time in Florida

Montreal Canadiens - Maurice Richard
- No other Canadien has had a movie made about them

New Jersey Devils - Martin Brodeur
- it's a telling stat when the best players in your team's history are defensive (Scott Stevens and Scott Niedermayer) round out the list. The only team in existence before 1991 that yet to have a 50 goal scorer OR a 100 pt man

New York Islanders - Mike Bossy
- Trottier and Potvin were good, and John Tonelli and Bob Nystrom the most loved, but Mike Bossy was the greatest.

New York Rangers - Rod Gilbert
- another team that has a long history of very good players without a great player. I debated putting Mike Richter and Mark Messier in place of Gilbert...and still debating it.

Ottawa Senators - Daniel Alfredsson
- I fully expect Spezza or Heatley to have this crown in a few years (whichever one they can afford to re-sign)

Philadelphia Flyers - Bobby Clarke
- Bobby Clarke is Philadelphia. Eric Lindros is the teams leader in points per game by a country mile, but Clarke is greater (helping them to 2 Stanley Cups and winning 3 Hart Trophies helps too)

Pittsburgh Penguins - Mario Lemieux
- Has anybody else played in Pittsburgh enough to warrant consideration?

Tampa Bay Lightning - Nikolai Khabibulin
- Khabibulin took the team to respectability while Lecavalier, Richards, and St. Louis found their legs. I needs to see more 'great' seasons out of lecavalier and St. Louis to change my mind

Toronto Maple Leafs - Frank Mahovlich
- Sittler and Sundin get mentioned due to lengevity, but in the 60s, The Big M was the Big Maple Leaf

Washington Capitals - Dennis Maruk
- Dennis Maruk was a Capital for a short time but still holds most of the teams season scoring records, and several of the career scoring records as well. The only Capital who played more than 300 games and has a PPG above 1.10

I'll just give you the ones I disagree with you on:
NJ--Stevens
NYI--Trottier (miles better than Bossy)
NYR--Bill Cook (Gilbert is great but learn some history prior to the '60s)
Ott--No One...blandest franchsie in Canada
Tor--Charlie Conacher (Sittler is a overrated joke....Apps, Kennedy are better than Darrylllll).
Fla--Bill Lindsay (he epitomized the grit that franchise had and Pavel is Vancouver and nothing else, baby!)
Wash--Langway (he made THAT franchise come alive...close second Dale Hunter)
