If we are talking Football players there is no way. Notre Dame has a huge fallowing, they are GUARANTEED a bowl if they win 10 games no other team has this. There fan base has huge buying power and they will always be on TV no matter how bad they are because there fans spend $$$. They will come back. They are the Catholic University to go to so Catholicism would have to fail before Notre Dame will fail.

I think there will definitely be at least some decommits. If you think about it is seems fair to me. The kid committed when he thought Weis was an offensive genius. He wanted to go to a high scoring shot em up offense but instead he might he walking into one of the worst offense in ND history.
Any recruit would be absolutely foolish not to question what happened and will it continue. It is no fun to be part of a losing team.
Why do so many kids go to Florida, USC and LSU despite there being fierce competition? Because kids want to be part of a winning system. They want to go where talent developes.
If I'm a ND recruit I watch the season and if the offense doesn't come to life I bolt to another team.

Without a doubt what football player wants to join a program that is in the dumps. Whoever goes to ND knows they have no possiblity in their colegiate career to ever play for a national championship. No player wants to hear that when they have choices. They willl change commitment status but a lot of them will end up a OSU and Northern illinois vs. USC.

I would b/c Notre Dame sucks... If I was I recruit I would also not go to any of the top schools. Why go to USC and sit on the bench behind ten other 5 star players, its stupid. Kids who go to average schools and can start their freshman or sophomore year have a huge advantage trying to make the NFL. Most of them are just too stupid to realize that and get caught in the hype of going to the big name program.

why take it out on pete carrol...hes creating a dynasty as usc. just because, on the other hand notre dame is getting squashed week after week doesnt mean you take it out on the #1 ranked team. For saying that about pete carroll i hope usc crushes notre dame which they probably will by more than 50!

I hope they don't decommit, so they can be disappointed at the system Wies has and realize they should've gone to a powerhouse, like Texas, USC, or Florida.

With the current record, and with the current issue that Weis is having with blocking his back up QB from transferring, they are more than likely going to lose some recruits.

Only if they are smart. If you want to play football, go to USC; if you want a good education, go to Duke!
