It has been said that "Imitation is the greatest form of flattery". If she is really a close friend, I suppose that you should be flattered that she wants to basically have the same tattoo. if you feel that this is unacceptable to you, have a heart to heart talk with her and explain how flattered you are that she wants the same tattoo, but that it is very special to you and would she consider altering the tattoo to suit her own individuality..If she cannot for whatever reason disagree, you will have to make a decision as to whether or not it is worth losing a friend over a "tattoo".

I'll be upset. Especially if you didn't agree to it. Some friends get matching tattoos as a symbol of their friendship but this is clearly not the case as she didn't even seem to ask your opinion. The point of getting a tattoo is that it has a special meaning to you. That's why personalized tattoos, like the one you got, are the best. Getting a tattoo just because it 'looks cool' is the dumbest thing someone could do, especially since you're basically stuck with that tattoo for the rest of your life. Maybe you can kindly explain to her the situation? Tell her you would be glad to help her find a personal design for her tattoo but that you wish she would respect you by not getting the exact same tattoo. If she's a real friend then she will understand.

I would be kinda ticked off, it it wasn't planned ahead of time. Getting a tattoo JUST because you "like how it looks" isn't always wise.
I would suggest to her that the two of you find something that would mean something special to the both of you and go together to get matching tattoos.(That's what me and one of my very close homegirl's did!) HOPEFULLY that will deter her from biting off you.

i would be upset....just when you think you're trying to be as original as you can or unique somebody always comes along & wants to take your idea...
then it becomes lame & not so original anymore...
well flattered in an upset kinda way I guess...

Upset! It's your tattoo, on your body. I'd hate to have someone else to have my exact same tattoo.

I would be a bit upset, does it actually mean something to her?
Yeah if I were you I would talk to her and tell her not to get it. That's not cool!

Be optimistic and take it as flattery. Imitation is the best form of flattery.
