Israel, not Germany, is the homeland of the Jewish people. Jews have lived in the Land of Israel continuously since Biblical times, (with a brief interlude during the Crusades)-- even after the Roman "expulsion" there were Jews living in Israel, although they were forbidden to go up to Jerusalem.
David built his capital city in Jerusalem, not Berlin. Jewish connection to the Land of Israel is attested by the Bible, by hundreds of Jewish prayers, and by archeology.
Active efforts to return to Zion began in the 1880s and gained strength in the early 1900s-- before the Holocaust. The idea that the Palestinians are "paying" for the Holocaust is therefore false--the Jews were already in the process of returning to their homeland.
The Arabs were hostile to the Jews even before there was a state, --despite the fact that the Jews brought prosperity and jobs to the region. The Arabs allied with Hitler during the war, and the Mufti of Jerusalem broadcast Nazi propaganda in Arabic from Berlin.
The Palestinians "paid" not because of the Holocaust, but because they were unwilling to compromise and refused the Partition Plan, which would have given them a state as well. They had not prepared themselves for a state of their own, and didn't want the Jews to have one, either. As a result, they ended up with nothing.
Today-- any day-- the Palestinians could have a state-- by giving up terrorism and uncompromising, unrealististic, maximalist demands.
The Arabs need to stop blaming Israel and the US for their problems as a way of avoiding responsibility for their own future.

Total misconception.
Ever gone to a crowded theater and asked someone to scoot over so you & your friend could sit together?
That's what happened.
There was no Nation called Palestine, it was just the name of the region where a bunch of Jews and Arabs lived together.
The UN ruling asked the Arabs to scoot over and let the Jews have a State. Most other nations considered this a fairly evenhanded decision, since the Jews were already living there and very much wanted a State of their own.
It is hard for many Westerners to fully understand the depths of hatred and intolerance that pervades the Muslim world.
It is NOT and overstatement to say the only regret many Muslims have regards the Holocaust, was that Hitler was unable to complete his dream of Jewish genocide.
Jew hating is also critical to modern Islam, which needs to direct attention away from the sad reality that good Muslim governance died with the Ottomans.
Middle East politics is confusing until you realize it is the GOAL of Muslim governments to maintain the victimhood of Palestinians for the purpose of blaming Muslim suffering on Jews in particular and infidels like Americans in general.

The Israelis have no interest in setting up a state somewhere else.
The Palestinians were asked when Israel was being founded to be part of it, and make it a state of Jews and Arabls living together, but they refused. Most left for other states in the area.
Anywhere else, if you are born and grow up in a country, you belong to that country- but to keep the hatred going, that area keeps the Palastinians seperate.

this is very true. The land after the Arabs conquered Palestine from Byzantines. No question about it. Why did the Palestianians have to suffer. Well, no Europeans wanted a Jewish state in Europe or anywhere. Even Winston Churchill wanted to dump them in Kenya. So they settled for the sleepy Levant region

Sorry, you're not very well informed. There never was a place owned by the "Palestinians." The most recent owners of that area, prior to the British and Israel, were the Ottoman Turks who controlled the area from 1516 - 1917 CE.

Not too many years ago, Palestinians were offered 90% of what they were asking for and they turned it down. They said they wanted Jews out all together. They didnt want peace and therefore they have their wish.

good question. That's been debated for decades. It's all because of a 3,000 year old book.
