Umm its her job to do those things, if it doesnt work out just dont pay her..

what do you mean not do them right? you have to be very specific with what want. i.e. what color thread, how big the hem should, is there a cuff. when I take my pants to be hemmed I always specify to have the thread be done the same color as the original, match the existing hem as close as possible, etc. and wherever possible, I try to meet with the person doing the alterations to go over things.

if you have concerns call them.

You shouldn't take PANTS to a DRESSmaker---you should have taken them to a tailor.......JK......she won't cut the hem, she will "hem" the jeans---I've never had a tailor mess up a hem for me before. Just let them do their job

I've had many jeans hemmed and they have always turned out fine, don't worry about it!
