Are you sure the divisor is correct? because binaries don't start with a zero on the left. That's like writing 024 for the number 24 in decimals.
This is supposed to look like long division. The algorithm works for binary numbers. It's 1100 divided by 11 which is 100 in binary. Or 12/3 = 4

1100 = 12
011 = 3
So 1100/011= 12/3=4

Well, 011 is 11. If you divide 1100 by 11, it's 100.
(Kinda like dividing 2200 by 22 in base ten.)
