The classic is only $250 for 80GB, where the touch is $400 for 16GB. The only advantage seems to be the WiFi and the fact that it looks cool. Opinions?

get the ipod classic.The touch screen of the Ipod touch and ipod phone often irritates me a lot.
In my opinion, iPod Classic is just like the Video iPod, just that it is only slimmer, tougher, and injected with a more visually rich graphic user interface. It is also more cooler and more desirable.
Sad to say the video output now requires a proprietary cable. Audio quality has not improved, and some older iPod video accessories may not be compatible.And for your information users are required to use the latest version of iTunes, which may not work on some older computer systems.
In short few other mp3 players can match ipod classic combination of storage capacity. If you want more features like the FM radio, personal organizer, better audio quality and more colours on screen, I recommend you to buy the zen vision M.

For $400 I'd get the iPhone. iPhone would give you the best of all worlds.
If all you want is a music player, the iPod classic or nano.
The nano has the same capacity as the iPhone. If getting a new phone isn't in the cards for you, get the nano and you can use the same music/videos with the iPhone when you get it.

I'd rather, you buy iPod Classic or iPod touch
Touch has a benifit though.. you can view any video using Youtube
