I was watching access hollywood last night and that actor from MASH Allen Alden was talking about how Bill Clinton let the national security lapse while he was busy trying to cover up that whole Monica Lewinsky deal.

Allen is a smart man because he ran for senator once, but was taken down by a seduction scandle that was made up. I also think he is very brave for overcoming his terrible war experiences.

We would do well to listen to his words.

That hotlips woman and that Charles Emerson Winchester guy was standing with him too. I think they might be married. I think that Charles guy might feel guilty because his great grandpa made those Winchester guns that killed so many indians.

Terrible.

"Alan Alda" is a Conservative Republican. He is a very politically biased individual. You might as well be quoting from MoveOn.

1. It's Alan Aleda. 2. Access Hollywood will rot your brain (more than it is already). 3. Hard to keep up on national security when the majority republican House and Senate are fighting your policies every step of the way and focusing on bringing a civil suit regarding sex between yourself and another consenting adult before the supreme court. 4. I agree that Alan Aleda is a smart man. That doesn't mean he's always (or in this case) right. 5. Loretta Swit and David Ogden Stiers can have political views, hotlips and Charles Emerson Winchester are fictional characters.

First off, to the guy who thinks Alan Alda is a conservative, where are you from? Alda is as liberal as they get. The only thing that makes him seem conservative is that he does actually usually stick with the truth, something that probably does seem decidedly un-liberal.

Alda is just telling the truth. Clinton paid almost no attention to security matters during his entire administration. What did get done was pure lip-service (pun intended) and served no meaningful purpose. Even his great "plan" that Paul whatshisname talked about was a re-hash of years-old intelligence and vague mission statements that served no purpose other than give Clinton the ability to say, "Oh yeah, look at this!" when people criticized him.

The major anti-terrorist actions in his entire term was to ban scary looking guns and to try to put taggants into explosives.

Big whoop.

It's Alan Alda, and the man is a far right con, which makes his comments disappear into the maw that is "conservative smear politics" these days. Useless and boring...yawn. He was great as Hawkeye though.

Unbelievable.

And out of the OTHER side of your mouth, you're screaming about how "Hollywood should stay out of politics."

You know, a gal could lose 20 lbs. trying to twist and turn keeping up with you flip-floppers.

Alda is right about Clinton being a terrible failure and how it's hurt America so badly.
