We have thousands of customers every day that use homeopathic products with great success. There have been hundreds if not thousands of studies done on homeopathic products that prove they work better than placebos. I've even talked to customers that were told the wrong information about a homeopathic product (they were told it was good for another ailment), but they got the benefits that it should have (which they didn't know about). And there are a few vets that use homeopathic products for animals (who have NO clue what the pills are for) and have gotten good results.

......So yeah, homeopathic remedies help a lot of people.

The only drawback to anything natural is that different people respond differently to different supplements, so some people may not notice as much of a benefit as other people.

As you have already heard, the answer is yes and no.
There is no 100% certain method by which one can prove or disprove the results of any remedy, homeopathic or more traditional. What most hard core scientific types insist upon is double blind studies. Unfortunately, studies have shown that if the group is aware that they are in a study, then the results will be skewed. So even double blind studies leave uncertainties.

The answer to your question must be personal to you. Did the remedy you took work for you? If yes, then use again when necessary. If no, then don't use it.

Does it matter if it was a placebo? As long as it worked, then you got the result that you sought. My point here is that many times in science a catalyst is required to initiate a reaction. If you took this remedy in good faith and believed that it would work, then perhaps that was all that was necessary to begin the natural healing of which your body capable.

The point here is that our body is designed to take care of itself. If we stop pouring toxins down our throats, if we stop injecting toxins into our bodies, if we stop putting non-biological substances into our bodies, then perhaps our bodies will once again be able to heal themselves.

If you need to take something to kick start the natural healing process, then so be it.

Do you mean REAL homeopathy or just natural meds in general? The poster who mentions taking mgs of valerian to sleep isn't taking true homeopathic remedies because homeopathic remedies aren't measured that way.

To answer your question, homeopathic remedies don't work. They're too dilute.

The practice of homeopathy is based on the theory that if you take an infinitismal amount of a poison that causes symtoms of disease in a healthy person, it will cure your disease. (Look it up in your dictionary if you doubt me.) It is not based on testing of the drug in animals or people; just on the nature of the poison itself. When homeopathy first came about in the 19th century, a drug was considered "proven" if the poison from which it was made made healthy people sick in larger doses.

Most drugs that are labeled as "homeopathic" these days are not really homeopathic. Most of them are just herbals. They just label it that way to try to get around FDA regulation, because one of FDA's very old laws recognizes homeopathic drugs.

About a third of people will respond to placebos to some extent for things like pain. That is why you can always get great testimonials for worthless drugs. I approve of placebos.

I would never take a homeopathic drug, though. I am not going to give my money to anyone who exploits sick people and tries to get around government regulation. And I wouldn't want to put anything in my body that was made by someone like that, because I could never trust that it actually contained what it says it contained.

Yes, definately. I have cured myself of flu, sore throats, anxiety, insomnia, etc... and homeopathy always worked for me.
The "secret" is that I go to a homeopath first, she gives me what will work for ME and it always worked. If I went to the store and just picked up any homeopathic medicine, it wouldn't work as well.

I used to get really bad panic attacks (anxiety) out of nowhere, I felt like I couldn't breathe and out of control and the doctor was about to have me go see a phychiatrist...

I did not want to do that so I basically talked myself out the anxiety....it's all a mind thing...and unfortunately some don't realize that and resort to meds....
so whatever works for you placebo or not, it helped right??!!!
