Some medication you have to give up gradually, it may be the same with some drugs. Most people are on some sort of drugs whether it's narcotics, tobacco, alcohol, prescription medication, sacred plants or caffeine. If everyone gave them all up immediately there would be billions of sick people. The drugs are keeping them from full health but sometimes they are keeping them sane as well. You're better off without anything that has been processed, but some things need a gradual reduction or a replacement. Consult a herbalist, they might know something that can stabilise your body while it purges. There's no need to be scared, just create a healing environment in the body through diet, positive thinking and alternative medicine and you'll be fine. Well done.

Perscription Drugs????
Or Illegal Drugs???
Perscription... You DO NOOOTTT Need To stop Right Away, It CanHave REALLLLLLYYY Bad Side Effects... ( PErsonal Experiance.. I was Hospitalized For Weeks And Put In Jail Another Time BEcause My Mind Didnt Knwo WHat It Was Doing And I Ended Up Beating The Ever Living **** Out Of Someone IThat MEan ALLLLOTTT To Me Over NOTHING)
If In Fact It Is Perscription Drugs, Then You Need to Ween Yourself Off... Talk TO Your Doctor First... Hell Prolly Lower The Dossage, And Then Every Once And A While Have you Skip A Day, And The Gradually Just Bring You Down To None.
But If Its Illegal Drugs Than YEA You Did The RIGHt THing!!! Thats What I Did!!!

You might want to consider seeing a therapist or joining a support group. Going to church can also help.
Many addicts who quit cold turkey do fine until a sudden change occurs in their life and then they go back to using.
In order to prevent this from happening to you, it would be a good idea to build healthy relationships now with people who can help you if it gets hard to stay clean because of the circumstances in your life. You will also want to step back from unhealthy relationships, such as people you have gotten high with and others who encouraged your drug use.

Congrats. But I've always heard it's extremely hard for some people to quit. Maybe you can find a support group or something and surround yourself with individuals with the same goals as yours.

yes that is good just remember tho' that generally folks use drugs to hide from something..and if something ever comes up that doesnt go your way you may relapse and relapse is stronger than when you ever used before..you are one of the lucky ones most folks wait till its too late

Disease of addiction is physical in nature and marked by four characteristics:
1. primary
2. progressive
3. chronic and
4. potentially fatal
Addiction is called primary disease because it does not depend on other sources to develop. The diseases which get worse day by day are named progressive and addiction is one of those ailments. Because addictions lasts for whole life that is why it is called chronic disease. An addiction kills in variety of ways, to addict and his family members or friends. This is why it’s potentially fatal.
No medicine has yet been discovered which lead to cure chronic diseases. Therefore in medical science, cure is provided to addicts just to improve quality of life. Treatments are not aimed at fighting with death but to enhance quality of life. Being chronic disease, addiction can not be uprooted completely.
Counseling is the next weapon to let addicts and recovering addict realize what consequences they have to face in case of continuing with drugs or relapse. I provide methods of intervening in patient’s life through amicable ways, I provide training applying tough-love strategy; I counsel patient family keeping in mind their codependency level. Excuses are another thing which families have to work on.
