My boss wants me to work weekends but does not want to give me compensation time. I am in the management category so I don't receive overtime and my salary is fixed. I think I deserve time off for working weekends.

Look to see if there is a school policy on the subject. As a salaried employee, he does not have to under the labor laws.

Salaried employess do not fall under the gudelines that wage employees do. There is no set compensation because there are no set hours. Some contracts allow for flez time, or taking time off for work during irregular hours, but it is part of the employment agreement or contract. Your employer probably has the right to ask you to work weekends or theyw ould not be asking it.

"Comp" days are illegal.
