why wont my quicktime movie go onto windows movie maker?

ok when i put videos from my camera onto my computer they save as quicktime movies. and for some reason they wont go onto the windows movie maker and i want to edit the video.. is there anyother movie maker tht is free or can someone help me out n tell me wat i can do

You need to convert the files from quicktime format (.mov) to a format that will work in windows movie maker (.mpeg, .avi, etc).

To do this, you can go to this site and download a free converter:

After you convert the file, just upload it into WMM and you're good to go.
