I actually found out I was pregnant with my first child when I had just turned 20, and it was the same day I had decided to split up with my boyfriend. I was 350 miles away from my family and friends and having a baby was the last thing I needed.
I told the father and we decided to work on our relationship. Although I am a single parent now I do not regret it at all. A friend of mine opted for the abortion in a similar situation and has now reached an age where her biological clock is ticking and it's just not happening. My children are now 7 and 9. I am young enough to enjoy my children and .still have a life knowing the way my life has gone I dont think any time would have felt like the right time if I had waited.

I honestly dont know what I would do. If I fell pregnant just now the timing couldnt be worse, I have one more year of college until I am fully qualified, my boyfriend has just started a degree, we have only been together a couple of months, neither of us want kids at all, he is only 19. I would be distraught and not want to think about it, but I probably would have an abortion.
I know that I could not cope with this decision so we always make sure that we are safe but nothing is 100% and it does scare me sometimes.

Happened to me age 29, had already split up with his father, really bad timing.
I'd had a miscarriage 4 yrs earlier, so I knew there was no way I would have an abortion.
His nearly 6 now and I've never regretted it!
If it happened to me now I have to say in all honesty I don't think I could go through with the pregnancy, or certainly not as a single parent again!
Who knows though if I meet a really nice guy! :-)

I am having a pregnancy scare right now(presumed forgotten pill/unprotected sex) with my husband of 2 months. We are both sophomores in college going towards our bachelors and both working for minimum wage. Also I do not like children!! However the timing, whatever the Lord decides, IF i do become pregnant, we'll face the responsibility and raise the child the best we can. I've seen other women do with less and have wonderful children. I would raise the baby, put school off if I had to( I know some mom's who can still manage that, so I would hope to be one of those), and go on with our lives. We only have one life, and we have to live with our mistakes and the consequences of our actions, another human being shouldn't have to die for a poorly judged mistake.

Well my body clock (at age 29) is ticking so regardless of the sticky situation I may be in I would still keep the baby. I'd hate to think that could be my only chance for children.
If the baby was going to suffer a painful life though I couldn't ever go ahead with a pregnancy as I personally don't believe it to be fair on the child. To me bringing a sick child into the world is selfish.

It happened to me I had 2 children aged 5 years and 11 months my grandmother was very ill, We lived in a very small flat and didn't have much money. The pregnancy was IUD failure.
The future looked so bleak I went ahead with the pregnancy grand mother died. We rented a larger house I learnt to be careful with money, as time went on it worked out just fine, once all children stared school I went back to work our income improved
I do not regret having my third child he grew up to be the most loving - it worked for me

i recently had a pregnecy scare from a one night stand who i met in another country and i weighted up the pros and cons, I was unemployed only 21 and probibly wouldn't meet the father again so if i was pregnet i was willing to undergo an abortion generally because i wasn't mature enought to take care of a child let alone take care of myself.
it really depends on what you feel if you could take care of a child or whither it is worth postponing it until you are ready to have a child.

When this happened to me I considered an abortion, but then I ended up having a miscarriage anyway so the problem worked itself out. Mother Nature helped me out.

Uh, when exactly is the timing right?
Me personally, I'd find a way...family always steps up and while my mom loves her furry four-legged grandkitties, i know she'd be thrilled to have a real grandbaby.
it helps that i don't live with her.
