During an interview with The Advocate to be published next week, Sean Kennedy, the gay magazine's news and features editor, asked the presidential candidate, "How do you respond to the occasional rumor that you're a lesbian?"

"People say a lot of things about me, so I really don't pay any attention to it," Sen. Clinton (D-N.Y.) replied.

"It's not true, but it is something that I have no control over. People will say what they want to say."

I do not believe anything that comes out of her mouth actually.

What reason do I have to believe that she is a lesbian? You know what makes me mad? All the jokes about Hillary Clinton being too "manly." Why do people think that? Does she really exhibit manly characteristics? Yes. Characteristics such as professionalism, leadership, and assertiveness. Women throughout history are characterized as irrational and dependent on men for guidance, so when a woman leader shows up, people questions her woman-ness in the sickest, most damning way. People questioning her woman-ness are just perpetuating the oppression of women. And suggesting she's a lesbian--which I'm not saying The Advocate is doing--just adds a homophobic twist to it.

Since gays and lesbians have been in every sector of our society since the beginning of time and they always will be, people must learn that you do not have to condone a life-style to tolerate it. That said; I would of had more respect for Hillary when Bill was found with his pants down if she just admitted it was a three way! :)

I'd rather not think about it.

But I will add this: Larry Craig was universally criticized for being against same-sex marriage while (apparently) secretly being gay.

Hillary Clinton also opposes same-sex marriage.

So if she were a lesbian herself I suppose her private life would be fair game.

I don't care. Nor, do I feel this is my business. Politicians do have a tendency to say what people want to hear. As long as they do a good job for the country I do not care about people's personal lives. There are more important issues.

Instead of contructive criticism or countering issues with reasonable alternative views Ms. Clinton's opponents have elected to make personal attacks. It is a technique honed to a fine art by Richard Nixon and passed on to GOP campaigners and spinmeisters who have further refined it. She knows that these attacks are going to be leveled on her. As the front runner she knows there is a target on her back and that those opposed to her have her in their sights. In the article she dismisses such accusations as the mere clap trap that it is.

As much as I can't stand her, I never once thought that she was lesbian or even "questioning" her sexuality. That is the one thing I can say in her defense.

Some people can't handle a competent, intelligent woman so they have to assume she is somehow less of a woman. I think Hillary is right to pay it no mind.

Some people think it is insulting to call someone a lesbian. But only a homophobe finds that kind of thing insulting.

As soon as she stops having sex with women I will believe she isn't a lesbian!

I'm saddened that NO ONE has taken the high road and ignored this filthy crud that she's a lesbian.

At best she's a tranny.
