Liberals don't hate the rich. In fact there are many high achieving rich liberals, that feel that the rich should be responsible and pay their fair share. Are you using Windows right now? If so the program you are using was designed by a company that is started by two of these liberals, who happen to be among the richest in the world. Using a Mac? Rich high achieving liberals.
I can't imagine anybody who is so unimaginative that they spend all day asking the same insane questions on Y! answers to be a high achiever. The only thing you've achieved is make stupid jokes about people who ate surplus cheese that the Reagan administration bought as a way to subsidize the dairy industry.

uhm, i'm not a liberal or anything (i'm not into the whole politics thing) but rich people can come off as snobby. and a lot of times, selfish.
like, i worked at a restaurant, and normal average people eat there all the time. and then they tip $20 . but there's this guy who comes in regularly. he's a pretty rich guy, nice car, nice clothes, good job. (he's a doctor) i mean, if you're a regular at a restaurant and you're rich you would tip a lot would you ? he tips about whatever change is in his pocket. i mean come on, you're rich , you're a regular, at least give a dollar. that's how rich people stay rich. they're selfish.
i'm not saying all rich people are selfish though.
& just because someone hates the rich doesnt mean they're a liberal. and i dont hate the rich either.

Is being born into money being a "high achiever" now? Is Paris Hilton a high achiever? Earn your money, certainly and I'll aplaud you. Do it without taking American jobs to Mexico, and I'll applaud you further. Do it without being a sociopath and I'll laud you from the highest mountains in America.
The "free trade" mythos where we take America down a peg to bring Mexico up one is outrageous. Industry did not do bad between the 1940s and 1980s when Roosevelt's "New Deal" was still in play, did it? So, if you were successful under liberal economics, how is that "hate"???

1. You don't work harder than everyone who makes less than you.
2. You don't work less hard than everyone who makes more than you.
I see no correlation between hard work and reward. I have made a great deal of money doing little work and worked hard only to lose more money than I made. I see this pattern repeated time and time again for others. Does your boss always work harder than you?
Hard work and good pay are not so causatively related as you would think.
I think Bono said the Americans look up at the big house on the hill and say "someday I'm going to live in that house." Irish look up at the house and say "someday I'm going to get that bastard."
I don't think there is anything noble about either wealth or poverty. Poverty makes me sad. Wealth usually just makes me angry.
If I really want to subscribe to the value, "wealth is good", why not just take your money?

They do not hate the rich. They do hate the ways some get their wealth. Lots of very high achievers amongst the liberals of this country.

Your assumption is incorrect.
Even assuming you could lump all liberals together under a single group -- they don't hate you because your rich, or despise you for being a high acheiver. In fact, the liberal philosophy doesn't even impact or interact with those statuses.
What you may be talking about is the socialist tendency to take money from the rich and give it to the poor -- but that's not liberal, that's socialist. And it has nothing to do with hatred.
Liberal philosophy and economics opposes socialism. So, while it may be true that socialists want to take your money, they don't hate you. Nor do liberals, and liberals don't even want to take your money.

Well they may despise you but probably for the other reasons. like the inane pointless repetitive questions
Congrats you manged a question not about Jimmy Carter, it must have really been tough for a high achiever like you to pull that off.

There are plenty of "Liberals" who work hard. There are plenty of rich Liberals too. Democrats believe that in order to solve some of the poverty problems, we need to ease taxes on the less wealthy and stop cutting taxes for the wealthy. Why cut taxes for the rich and not for the poorer? The people with less money deserve a tax break! Come on, have a heart.

First, you must be ignorant to make such a generalized statement. There are a huge number of people that you would label "liberal" who are quite rich. You don't have to look far. Look at your television set, celebrities, etc. I would think people may despise you because you sound arrogant and obnoxious.

Considering that most of the richest people in America are liberals, do you have proof of liberals hating the rich? Or, do you always just throw B.S out there in such arbitrary ways because you're bored or something?
