the media has turned this thing into a race issue and it's not. that tree that people are calling a "white tree" has been there for a hundred years and was always (understood) for the football team including black players from time to time, some non- football players ask administration for permission to sit there and it was granted. friday there were nooses hung in the tree in school colors just like there were every time the GIANTS played the COWBOYS. the two events had nothing to do with each other or with the near fatal beating Justin barker recieved and by the way he didn't go to a party that night. he went to a ring ceremony to recieve his ring, with his class which he had paid over 300 dollars for and waited 12 yr.s to recieve. he had a severe cuncusion and his right eye was swollen shut, his neck and throat were so bruised he couldn't speak, and he left as soon as he got his ring because he couldn't take the pain any longer sombody need to wake up and ask who the victim is here

The thing is -- it may be a racial issue in the way it's being handled.

There are questions about whether the same govt responses and same charges would have been brought if the races of the people involved were different.

I agree it should not be a racial issue -- it's a simple assault and battery charge based on the evidence presented so far -- but race is very important to many people, and we must acknowledge that it does sometimes have an effect on what charges get filed and how things proceed.

Well then what is with all the BLACK people going for a march in every major city that a ghetto resides in? I almost puked when I got home from work, turned on the news, and saw 1,000,000 black people marching for these thugs. Stuff like this I can't help but lose respect. Hanging rope in tree < Getting stomped by 6 humans

Bringing up racial issues does not help to get rid of racial issues!
