No. In this age of Jerry Springer, celebrity worship, a culture of greed, a love of all things degenerate, other people's opinions don't affect me. I consider the source. The people I admire don't fall into the above categories that the majority of people in the world belong to. There's a reason I admire the people I do. And their respect far outweighs whatever else the 'world' could give me.

I would say you can still love another and make the other person that you admire the most understand that you need to have the whole world love you because you are a selfish egotistical opportunist that is not OK to be a man and to stand on his own hehehe
All I am saying is that if the person you admire loves you it will not matter they will share you with the world if they have to as long as they are ok in doing so hehehe that would be difficult but if it is pure true love then they will because love can conquer all if the other and you love greatly :)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) the whole world will be part of it as well :))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

no, the respect from the one i admire most, is the most important... i dont need to be loved by the world plus they probably wont respect you anyway at the same time as they love you.....
Love is not respect, you must have both

Happiness is an inside job. It doesn't matter who likes, dislikes, admires or hates you. If you feel the need to earn someone's respect you are giving them an unhealthy power over you.

The whole world will never love one person- so I would go for respect. Then even people who do not love you will not mess with you.

i would pass. love can be bought but respect has to be earned and isn't so easly to replace.
