http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070921/ap_on_re_as/afghanistan KABUL, Afghanistan - A top American commander on Friday accused Iran of supplying powerful roadside bombs to militants in Afghanistan and said the U.S. would "act decisively" if the cross-border flow continues.

which will undoubtedly be reason for right-wingers to proclaim our need to invade Iran.

super - and then using that same logic- that those who supplied weapons to the Taliban need to be eradicated - we need to be MOST sure to send troops to take out Donald Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney, PNAC, the Bush family - for ultimately being the ones whose signatures are on the receipts for the guns currently killing U.S. troops in Iraq, in Afghanistan..., and let's even go back to the Bush/Nazi business dealings which directly caused the deaths of the Allied forces in WWII

let's do it! - let's heap the consequences upon those guilty of supplying arms and support to terrorists!

time to take out the trash!

So, assuming you are correct... Iran -- along with many other countries -- is selling weapons to people in Afghanistan.

Which is nothing new, and as you point out even the US has done so. We also sold weapons to Saddam in years past.

Blaming -- let alone attacking -- a country simply because they are engaged in the arms trade with another country is a game that nobody wins. It's a political excuse to not like someone, and not valid grounds for anything beyond sanctions -- sanctions being our way of saying "we don't like you, and we won't play with you anymore".

no, Iran would not supply the Taliban with weapons. Some Iranians are supporting radical Shiite militants in Afghanistan and Iraq, but Saudi Arabia is far more responsible for insurgents in both countries. Saudi Arabia supports Sunni militants such as the Taliban. Iran was actually an enemy of the Taliban.

There are always the same " The biggest Mafia ever" ruling the world. They are the same who create Saddam, the same who armed Talibans against the Russians, etc. No way, to end with this horror. First needs to finish with this "dark power" at DC and create a new order with sage and intelligent people there.

You need to look at the reasons these acts were done at the time & not look back with the benefit of hindsight as you are....
Iran is supplying weapons now to kill our soldiers, they also want to wipe out Israel .....someone has to stop them & give their own citizens the real freedom they deserve.
