So, assuming you are correct... Iran -- along with many other countries -- is selling weapons to people in Afghanistan.

Which is nothing new, and as you point out even the US has done so. We also sold weapons to Saddam in years past.

Blaming -- let alone attacking -- a country simply because they are engaged in the arms trade with another country is a game that nobody wins. It's a political excuse to not like someone, and not valid grounds for anything beyond sanctions -- sanctions being our way of saying "we don't like you, and we won't play with you anymore".

Some Iranians are supporting radical Shiite militants in Afghanistan and Iraq, but Saudi Arabia is far more responsible for insurgents in both countries. Saudi Arabia supports Sunni militants such as the Taliban. Iran was actually an enemy of the Taliban.
