I want to live somewhere next to a big city. I am 26. I don't want to live in NYC, particularly, but I do want to live where there are singles that are my age. I thought about moving to Vermont. I think that it is a really pretty area and there is a college there that I am interested in, but I'm afraid that there won't be anyone like me. What are some other big cities that have a lot of people that are in New England? Thank you!

I lived in NH most of my life, the biggest city in NH is Manchester followed by Nashua. My sis ans bro-in-law live in Nashua and he commuted to Boston for work for many years.

Why wouldn't there be someone like you in Vermont? Vermont is pretty nice but I never lived there just vacation and traveling through.

boston is a big city that has all that a young (or even not so young person might want)
there are of course colleges, shopping, entertainment etc and of course lots of people
it is also worth noting that there are great air links with UK and only takes around seven hours to get there
the winters are cold, the summers are hot and they have spectacular autumns
it is not far to cape cod where there are great beaches
what more could you want?

Maybe Burlington, Vermont is good for you. It is a very pretty city. Winter is very cold, you have to see it first.
