Given the current political situation in Russia. It's most likely that national pride is a large factor.

The oft stated answer is Jerry Sloan - yet there was no complaining when he was the go to guy on a crappy team, but now that he is, at times, the 4th option (or lower) on a good team he does not seem to be taking it very well.
I think Andrei has some great skills, but sometimes he doesn't use the best judgment. I had hoped his stint in the Euros - very successful stint, I might add - would have rebuilt his confidence and inspired him to help the Jazz push pass the elite teams in the NBA West.

The oft pronounced answer is Jerry Sloan - yet there became no complaining on a similar time as he became the flow to guy on a crappy team, yet now that he's, at circumstances, the 4th determination (or decrease) on a stable team he does no longer seem taking it o.ok.. i think of of Andrei has some large skills, yet now and back he does no longer use the main important proper judgment. I had replaced into hoping his stint indoors the Euros - very valuable stint, i might upload - ought to have rebuilt his self concept and inspired him to help the Jazz push pass the elite communities indoors the NBA West.

Kirilenko really doesnt like Jerry Sloan.
in a report during the season, after all-star break, it was said that Jerry Sloan got mad at kirilenko for not playing good enough defense in a game that they lost. kirilenko's basic role with the utah jazz is to play good defense, in sloan's opinion. but kirilenko was unhappy with that because he believes that he can be an offensive threat, and wants more touches on the offensive end. but sloan doesnt want kirilenko to play a whole lot of offense.

He and his team just won the FIBA European qualifying tournament. He was named the tournament MVP. He had fun and liked his team's style of play. He contrasts that with Utah coach Jerry Sloan's very specific and rigid style of play that, to Kirilenko, is not 'fun'. So, he wants out. He thinks he should be able to enjoy playing basketball and that wasn't happening in Utah. He goes to great lengths to compliment Sloan and to thank him for the opportunities given to him. So, it is not a bitter or ugly 'breakup', at least, not from Kirilenko.

It's because he's not getting the playing time in Utah like he deserves. When they interviewed him after they lost to the Rockets in Game 1 of the playoffs last year and asked him about his limited playing time he practically started crying. Sloan won't play him for whatever reasons.

He probably hates Utah because of all the mormons around! Come on does he really need to have 2 people come knock on his door asking if he has found god today! I'd be wanting out of Utah too if I were him. Maybe he wants too go to a bigger city where there's more entertainment and no more mormons knocking on his door every half hour!

He doesn't like Jerry Sloan (the head coach of the Jazz)
because, he wants to play his natural PF (power foward) position, but Sloan keeps making him play SF (small foward), they always butt heads, but that is the main reason.
