Firstly.... I'd imagine it is NOT common at all.
Secondly.... I'd imagine it isn't unhealthy in the slightest though.... It won't be healthy particularly either.... but I see no harm in it.
I used to have a habit after taking a shower of seeing if I could hang the towel on my manparts.... but I don't bother any more.
