I have problems with this same issue. My Dr. found out that it is a chemical imbalance. He put me on some medication and I am a lot better.

There is always a reason...AT LEAST ONE. (Most of the time it's several.)

What happens is that your body is making you listen to it. Maybe you are in a situation that is stressing you or making you unhappy, yet you refuse to do something to change it. So then your body gets sick and makes you notice that you need to focus on it.

Depression has a lot of roots, and if you feel you are depressed go to a doctor and have tests run...Your hormone levels might be incorrect. You should also consider going to therapy or counseling if you have problems and you feel you cannot deal with them.

Good luck and don't wait...Depression is a TERRIBLE thing and it can literally destroy you, so get help ASAP !

The reason may not be apparent but I assure you there is a reason. The only exception to this rule is something medical or chemical that may need to be treated with drugs. But most of the time there is something in life that is subconsciously wrong. Bad relationship, job, friends, alcholoism or drug addiction. Something is bothering you and you havent quite been able to put your finger on it. Mild dehydration can also give you the feeling of depression.

theres always a reason you just dont know what the reason is and this in itself is a problem. talk to your doctor and limit your news watching too, the news alone makes people want to slit their wrists cause all news is bad and depressing. also, watch comedies. when i get depressed i watch Joe Dirt and am laughing my *** off in no time...you may need an antidepressant too so please tell your doctor whats going on. this world is such a mess the statics on the # of depression is staggering in both men and women.

There are many forms of depression. Chronic depression can be a condition or it can be a symptom of another chronic condition, such as fibromyalgia or chronic pain.

Some people are just prone to bouts of depression.

Past abuse can cause a person to suffer from bouts of depression throughout their lifetime.

These are just some of the forms of depression.

Take care,
Troy

It's your way of thinking about something. Change your way of thinking, and you change the way you feel! There's a great book out called, The Feeling Good Handbook, by Dr. David Burns. A great read on the subject!
