can you use system restore ,just in case?

Normally it is safe to delete everything, Bitdefender (like most registry cleaners) is very conservative and only takes thing it is sure are safe. But it is recommended that you create a restore point first. As a restore point backs up the registery, you can use it to return to what things were like before you deleted everything.

If you are looking for a light sweep of the reg, I would use Ccleaner.

As well as getting rid of a lot of other rubbish, it will look for dead items in reg and remove them.
