Start
Run
CMD
ipconfig
on the line that says DEFAULT GATEWAY, right down the number - most of the time it's 192.168.1.1
open up Internet Explorer and type in your DEFAULT GATEWAY - i.e. http://192.168.1.1
A login box should come up, you will have to check the paperwork on your router to find out what it is, most of the time it's a blank username and admin as the password.
Once in the router, go to the wireless section and set a password.

It is different for every brand and model of router. But the general answer is to go into the configuration for the router (usually by typing its IP address into your browser as if it was the name of a web site) and then looking for a place to enter a WEP or WPA password.

You need to get into the config GUI on your router. That is either 192.168.1.1 , or 192.168.1.2 . Then from there you can access the wireless settings, and set a WEP key, which is what the password you are looking for is.
